Updating Marketo Email Template and Email Asset

Any updates made to an email template's editable section do not transpire to the email assets using them! Marketo considers content within the editable sections of an email as email-specific content (fair enough!), so the template updates will never overwrite that (even if you re-approve the draft email post template updates).

Marketers need to edit the email asset, replace the respective editable section(s), update the content (if required), and re-approve the email to include the changes made to the editable modules.

Failing to replace the updated editable content modules in email assets before re-approving them would be what I like to call a marketing catastrophe (so always be wary of that!)
